TDU members are proud to support the reelection of Sean O’Brien and the O’Brien-Zuckerman Teamsters United Slate. Here are 10 reasons why.

1. Teamsters are Fighting Back
Under the leadership of Sean O’Brien and Fred Zuckerman, our union is more militant. There have been more winning strikes since OZ Teamsters United took office than in the previous decade. The Hoffa-era concessions stand is closed.
2. Contract Campaigns
Sean O’Brien and OZ Teamsters United mobilize members in contract campaigns to build our power during negotiations. The contract campaign model, including contract unity pledges, bargaining updates, contract rallies, practice picketing, and credible strike threats has spread from UPS to other industries — and it’s delivering better contracts.
3. Rank-and-File Teamsters on Every Bargaining Committee
Sean O’Brien and OZ Teamsters United changed the Teamster Constitution to require rank-and-file members on all contract negotiating committees and majority rule on all contract votes. These reforms give the rank-and-file a stronger voice in negotiations and more power to win better contracts.
4. Better Strike Benefits Win Better Contracts
Under Sean O’Brien and OZ Teamsters United, our union is paying enhanced strike benefits of $1,000 a week starting on the first on day of a strike. Members have more power to mount credible strike threats, organize durable strikes, and win.
5. Coordinated Bargaining & Strikes
Sean O’Brien and OZ Teamsters United use coordinated bargaining and strikes to increase our union’s bargaining leverage. They’ve extended picket lines to disrupt company operations and win in the warehouse, food distribution, package delivery, waste and more.
6. Ending Divisions, Building Unity
Sean O’Brien and Teamsters United bring Teamsters together across differences. Under Hoffa, the International Union attacked TDU and undermined reformers who won local union office. Sean O’Brien and OZ Teamsters United reach out to newly elected local union leaders to help them succeed and they work with TDU on campaigns to build union power.
7. Organizing
Sean O’Brien and OZ Teamsters United have led a resurgence in Teamster organizing in core industries like package delivery, warehousing, waste, food distribution, school bus, healthcare and Amazon. More than 90,000 new Teamsters have joined our union.
8. Rank-and-File Power is Growing
Sean O’Brien and OZ Teamsters Union have opened our union to more member involvement, more militancy, and bigger fights than the Teamsters has seen for decades. Rank-and-file participation is encouraged by our union’s top leaders.
9. Proven Leadership, Not Empty Talk
Sean O’Brien and OZ Teamsters United are the only candidates for International Union office with proven experience leading successful contract campaigns, strikes, and organizing drives. The opposition Fearless Slate has no track record and no positive platform. They are the first slate in Teamster history to fail to get enough petition signatures to be accredited as candidates. You can’t run an International Union if you can’t even run a credible campaign for union office. Real leadership takes more than negative attacks and social media videos.
10. Ready for New Challenges
Sean O’Brien and Teamsters United have reversed two decades of stagnation under Hoffa. Now Teamsters face new threats from automation to AI. To meet these challenges, Teamsters need strong International Union leadership that backs local unions and members and mobilizes rank-and-file power. That’s Sean O’Brien and Teamsters United.
